So the other day our big kitty Jackson, who is approximately 16lbs give or take a few, decided it was a good idea to jump over our fence. First off, we had no idea that he could get over the fence.
When it's nice out we'd always let him out side to bask in the sun while the dogs are running around. He usually just rolls around on the little patio or runs under the deck and eats grass. Well this one day we let the dogs inside and went back out to get Jackson. Josh came back in and said "he's not under the deck" Well last time he was so where else would he go. Well there Josh goes running over into the neighbors yard... so I run to see what's going on. O man I have never seen Jackson run or jump so fast or high. Josh was trying to grab him and he was not having it so he was hissing and meowing sooo loud. Then he got free and sprinted over the 4 ft. fence and right to the sliding glass door to go inside. He knew he was in trouble. So from now on he doesn't go outside alone... he needs to be watched. He is not an outdoor cat and does not have a collar... he wouldn't know what to do out there. He doesn't get that.
Later our neighbor told us she had catnip planted over where he was sniffing in her yard. O such a bad bad kitty.
We're just looking out for you Jackson, really. You may be mad at us temporarily but we just don't want anything happening to you.
